INSTALLING A NEW DRIVEWAY
You do not need a permit to install a new driveway or apron; however, these replacements must meet City specifications, and the City must receive a 24-hour notice before pouring concrete. Please call Scott Lofland at 563-1177 before starting a driveway project for specifications and requirements.

NEED SOME CHIPS
Wood chips are available to residents at no charge. To obtain a truck load, call 563-1177. These shredded tree limbs will be brought to your residence and placed in your driveway. PLEASE NOTE: These wood chips are not mulch; they are a combination of softwood, hardwood, sticker bushes, evergreens and vines, and they are not suitable for mulching around trees, shrubs, flowers or any other plant beds. The wood chips, if fresh, could take nutrients from the soil and discolor or even kill the plants. These wood chips can, however, be used for pathways or to cover non-growing areas.

CURBS & SIDEWALKS
Once each year Sharonville repairs sidewalks and curbs for safety or structural reasons only. If you feel your sidewalk or curb needs repair, call 563-1177 and request an inspection.

POT HOLE PATROL
The freezing and thawing effects on weakened pavement can rapidly form potholes. Because temporary materials must be used during winter, patches may not last. IF YOU SEE A POT HOLE, PLEASE CALL AND TELL US WHERE IT IS.

TRUCK LOAN
If you need to dispose of a lot of rubbish or debris, a truck can be left in your driveway overnight.  This service is offered from April through October.  The truck will be brought to your home or business between 2:45 and 3:00 in the afternoon and is picked up the next morning by 7:30 a.m.  A release of liability must be signed by the property owner.

The Truck Loan Program will cost the homeowner $50 a night and $60 for the weekend.  The cost for businesses will be $90 for nights and weekends.  This cost only partially covers the labor, truck use, and cost to dump the truck.  Rumpke’s minimum charge is $35 for a 3 cubic yard load.  A full large dump truck (approximately 8 cubic yards) costs over $90 to dump at the Rumpke landfill.  Payment will be required before the truck can be delivered to the residence.  Call 563-1177 to schedule a truck.
